GRAND CHAMPIONS AT TALLWOOD INVITATIONAL COMPETITION

​​Wooooohoooooo!!!!!
Wow! What a triumphant way to end the season!!!

In our final competition at Tallwood HS in Virginia Beach tonight, the Marching Statesmen won:
  • first in division 
  • best overall colorguard
  • best visuals and
  • GRAND CHAMPION of the competition—meaning we scored the highest rating across ALL divisions out of all 18 bands competing today!

Congratulations Marching Statesmen! We are so proud of you!

On Saturday, September 6, over 100 students in the GCM Band Program will split into teams and knock on the doors of local residences in Marshall High School neighborhoods to promote our fabulous band program and request donations as a show of support.

This community fundraising effort is a key tradition in the FCPS band program, usually contributing over 50% of the funds for the Marshall Band. If you see band members in your neighborhood on Saturday, please greet them and consider making a donation to support the Marshall Band! Donations in cash or check are welcome on the spot, or you can contribute digitally via the Venmo or PayPal links above.
